I offer language services based on a lot of competence in the areas mentioned here, with a focus in medicine. Concerning English, on the one hand, I offer translations into German. The texts may be from one of the areas of interest listed beneath, or even of a more general nature.
A key specialty of my services is medicine. You have the opportunity to get professional medical translations by a physician who has more than 20 years' experience in clinical and laboratory medicine in large hospitals, including university hospitals, in Germany and Norway. I also was involved in long-lasting research co-operation in an international team, and writing of articles, or parts of them, for publication in English in international medical journals (see also http://independent.academia.edu/HelmutSandeck).
With respect to medical terminology, I dispose a broad knowledge of Latin and Ancient Greek, too.

As a special service, I offer medical translations from German, Russian, French, Norwegian, Swedish and Hungarian to English, as well as in most of the remaining translation directions between these languages.
Most of translators who do medical translations, have never worked in Medicine, while I am able to offer a broad spectrum of knowledge and experience in this discipline.
My mother tongue is German, and I own both a Swedish, and a Norwegian bachelor degree in Humanities. I am a state-examined translator for medical texts from Russian to German.

Prices
Prices are determined according to the number of standard lines. One standard line consists of ca. 55 signs, including spaces (according to a definition by the German Juridical Payment and Compensation Law). Standard cost per line is about 1.30 to 1.50 EUR (Euro, €) in specialized texts, and 1.00 to 1.30 EUR in general texts. If the text has not been delivered in an editable form, and/or if it is complicated, a somewhat higher amount is applied. If there are many repetitions in a text, the price becomes somewhat lower. Quantity discounts are possible. For urgent orders, an extra charge applies. Minimum bill amount: 25 EUR.

Please send me the text of which you wish a translation, and you will get an offer concerning cost and delivery time. After having received your signed confirmation, I will start translating your text.
Please be aware of the following: Translations are done according to the best knowledge and conscience. There are established procedures in order to control the accuracy of the translations in detail. Nevertheless, any juridical liability for the accuracy of the translations cannot be recognised.
